If you already have chalk, you will have everything else you need at home as well. This post will include referral links to aid you in find the items similar to what I used.
What you will need for this fun activity.
- Chalk, sidewalk chalk or regular chalk
- Shaving tool, cheese grater, lemon zester or butter knife
- Water
- Cup or bowl
- Paper plate or piece of paper
- Foam paint brush
The first thing you will do is shave your chalk, you can use a butter knife to scrape against the chalk or you can use a cheese gratter or a lemon zester the same way you would with cheese or lemons.
Shave your chalk over a paper plate or a piece of paper. This will make it easy to pour into your cup or bowl.
Pour your shaved chalk into a cup or bowl. We made lots of colors!
Pour just a small amount of water into your cup and mix. continue adding just a small amounts of water at a time until you have a paint consistency.
Now you can use a foam brush to create whatever design you wish. This sidewalk chalk paint will wash with the rain like any other sidewalk chalk art! If you like this tutorial and would like to see more like it, follow me on Facebook by clicking here.
